Though sonically different, Hardcore and Hip Hop music are rooted in much of the same history. Both genres started in working class poverty on the city streets and both share their opposition to authority and social norms. Hardcore and Hip Hop may have began in the underground, but eventually they blazed their own paths and created generations of fans with their DIY attitudes.
